New Multipsk 4.21.1 (Test Version 4)

Patrick says:

Hello to all testers,
Here is a new Multipsk test version only about the Lentus server (button “traffic”): http://f6cte.free.fr/MULTIPSK_TEST_11_05_2012.ZIP
This “Traffic” function is now complete and finished (I hope). The system of display permits to show locations of RX and/or TX stations.
Paste this adress in your Internet Explorer or equivalent. Download the file.
Create a temporary folder (C:\TEST, for example), unzip the file in it and start C:\TEST\Multipsk.exe (the auxiliary files will be created automatically).

TKS for reports!
Below is an extract of the Lentus manual about the “Traffic” function.

- the "Traffic" button permits...
to display all the last received and transmitted Lentus messages. In that case, Multipsk will transmit the last transmitted or received Lentus message by the user (Ham or SWL) to a WEB server during the first half of the minute 6, 11, 16…, then during the second half of the minute 6, 11, 16… , Multipsk will fetch and display all the collected Lentus messages.
Important: to have the HF frequency (of the transceiver) sent and then displayed, the "Freq MHz" ; field (on the "QSO" zone) must be filled (with, for example, "14.096"). The "QRZ MHz" field is automatically forwarded to the server (so that others Hams or SWL know what frequency is used). This field is automatically updated by Commander when connected with Multipsk.
At pushing the "Traffic" button, a window will open with the present Lentus traffic.
It can be filtered only the received messages containing the specified text in the adjacent editor (20 characters maximum).
A short comment (20 characters maximum) can be added to a transmitted or a received Lentus message.
It is proposed to display positions of receivers or transmitters on GoogleEarth, DX-Atlas or local m ap.
To communicate RX and TX positions, it is necessary to fill the <MY LOCATOR> and <MY CALL> fields (<MY CALL> for Hams). Click on the "Personal data" button for this.

"Text TX" and "Text RX" is a couple of buttons which will permit to test the transmission between your PC and the Lentus server. To use this function:
  • Fill your personal data with your Callsign (<MY CALL>) and Locator (<MY LOCATOR>), clicking on the "Personal" button.
  • Fill the "Freq MHz" field (QSO part at top and left), for example with "14.0956". It is really important, for the other Hams and SWL, that the HF frequency (on the transceiver) that you use be displayed. You can add a comment towards other OMs and SWL.
  • Afterwards click on "TEST TX" to send "TEST"+Callsign+Locator to the Lentus server.
  • One second after, click on "TEXT RX" which requests all collected data from the Lentus server.
  • If "TEST"+Callsign+Locator appears in the white window, the transmission works well.
By pushing the "Receivers" button, it is displayed the RX positions of SWL or Ham in reception of all transmitters or only one.
The field (20 characters maximum) to the right of "RX of transmitter&quo t; can be filled if the user prefers to display only received positions of a precise station or these of a country as "F" for France, for example. If the field is empty, all received positions are displayed.

By pushing the "Transmitters" button, it is displayed the TX positions (these transmitted) of all transmitters or only one. The field (20 characters maximum) to the right of "Transmitters" can be filled if the user prefers to display only received positions of a precise station or these of a country as "F" for France, for example. If the field is empty, all received positions are displayed.
The "GoogleEarth" button permits to display all received positions on GoogleEarth, if this one exists on the PC. To save the temporary posit ions, they must be stored in "Prefered locations" (by click ing right over the temporary position).
The "DXAtlas" button positions the stations on DXAtlas, if this one exists on the PC.
The "Local" button positions the stationd on a local map (issued from the SYNOP/SHIP decoding application) chosen by the user.

The initial server address is the following: "http://rg16.free.fr/". In case of later changement of address, it will be possible to modify it by clicking on the "Modification" button (allow the modification of the server address). Extract the button, once the modification done.
